Park & Ride trial gets thumbs up

The six week trial of a new park & ride service in Ilfracombe has been given the thumbs up by residents and visitors and extended for a further two weeks until 17th September.

Public Toilets - Open for Shoppers

Following regular vandalism of the public toilets on Northfield Road, the town and district council have found a compromise which allows shoppers to use the conveniences during shopping hours.

Celebrate the sea this September at SeaIlfracombe

Ilfracombe will be awash with maritime activities for all the family from Friday 10 to Sunday 12 September 2010 when the second SeaIlfracombe festival celebrates the town’s sea heritage from Iron Age origins to the present.

Ilfracombe invites people to watch ‘not so mini’ parade

Hundreds of minis will be attending this year’s Legendary Grand Tour finale in the picturesque town of Ilfracombe on Bank holiday Monday and organisers are inviting people to join in the celebrations.

Every year, Ilfracombe sees the largest congregation of one of the biggest ever mini rallies. This year, the town plans to celebrate in true Devonshire style. Everyone is invited to bring their own picnic along to Capstone Hill to watch the parade whilst enjoying their afternoon tea.

Ilfracombe’s message: hop on our town bus for free!

Ilfracombe has begun its six week trial of a regular round town transport service and in its first week has seen 376 passengers hop on and off the handy free bus.
