A Dozen Reasons for Ilfracombe to be Proud

There were another dozen reasons for Ilfracombe to be proud on the 20th April, when 12 members of the community received Pride in Ilfracombe awards in front of a packed audience of family and friends at the Ilfracombe Centre.

Nominated by members of the community, the award winners were recognised by Ilfracombe Town Council for the work they do, often unrecognised, in the community. Among them the brave, the dedicated and the uncomplaining.

Is the pressure too high for Ilfracombe’s Mayor?

Ilfracombe’s Mayor, Councillor Philip Webb, was among those taking advantage of a free medical check outside the town’s Tesco Store this weekend. After picking up their weekly groceries, shoppers were invited to have their blood pressure checked and received free health advice and information on how to recognise the signs and symptoms of a stroke.
