More Influential Role agreed by Ilfracombe Town Council

Ilfracombe Town Council last night agreed to assume a more self-determining role in the future of the town by budgeting financial provision for key regeneration projects rather than depending entirely on the support of outside funders.

Pom-poms, a beehive and wellington boots - Ilfracombe Town Council supports more local causes

Ilfracombe Town Council (ITC) is supporting a diverse range of projects from local groups by grant funding in 2010. Almost £8,000 has been awarded under the 'small grants' process for the year 09/10 to local community organisations to help them carry out their work or buy much-needed equipment. This amount is in addition to the £15,750 already awarded to community organisations earlier in the year.

Ilfracombe Town Council awarded Quality Status

Ilfracombe Town Council has been awarded Quality Status by the National Association of Local Councils, having successfully demonstrated that it is competent, in touch with and representative of the community it serves and capable of taking on an enhanced local government role.
