Just 3 weeks after its first meeting, the Seafront Regeneration Steering Group has appointed specialists to turn ideas for Ilfracombe’s seafront into a structured and viable plan. Cornwall-based consultants - Perfect Moment – promise to deliver a bold programme of culturally-led regeneration. Their brief is to produce a plan for the seafront that will secure investment from a variety of funders, including CABE (Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment), who have £1 million up for grabs for seaside resorts.

Ilfracombe Town Council has launched a new website which it hopes will not only be a source of information to residents, but also an opportunity for councillors to listen the comments of residents on all aspects of the town.

A record number of Pride in Ilfracombe awards were presented in front of a packed-out audience in the Ilfracombe Centre yesterday, with ten winners being presented with awards by the Mayor, Councillor Geoff Fowler.
