Ilfracombe Town Centre Study - October 2005 by Terence O’Rourke
The Community Alliance Strategic Action Plan (September 2004) identified three key areas of the town that needed to be explored in extra depth. These three were: the Larkstone/Brimlands youth and recreation area (headed by Paul Yabsley), the Harbour development and breakwater study (headed by Geoff Fowler), and the Town Centre area (headed by Paul Crabb). This study relates to the Town Centre and provides a general appraisal of key opportunities and constraints for development or enhancement within the town centre and assesses, in broad terms, the delivery of proposals. The study also considers public transport provision.

Ilfracombe Harbour Board - Strategic Development Plan 2009
The purpose of the Strategic Development Plan (SDP) is to convert the Ilfracombe Harbour Board’s (IHB) Vision and Mission into a strategy, define the current status of harbour use and affairs, and how best to address the requirements of the next 18 years. It expresses the IHB’s aim to provide excellent facilities for harbour users together with progressive improvements, whilst preserving the unique character of the harbour.
